I finally got my luggage 26 hours after it was dropped off at the ship’s terminal! It was inadvertently delivered to an empty stateroom. Just before the luggage was delivered, I purchased a polo shirt and a tee shirts – courtesy of Holland America – so I would have something clean to wear. I also found a rental tux in the room for the formal dinner on Monday night. This was promptly sent back, since I now had my own.
Sunday and Monday was spent just exploring the ship and the activities. There are not a lack of things to do. The daily schedule is packed with back-to-back activities. One cannot possibly do them all! I attended a Digital Workshop and learned more about Windows 8 in 30 minutes, than I have learned on my own in the past 6 months.
I have begun fast walking around the ship’s oval course. -3 .5 laps to a mile. I am maintaining 11 laps per day. I have to do that because the food is great and plentiful!
I am enjoying the dance classes and the Trivia sessions, although in the Monday session I only knew the answer to 1 of 16 questions. -and this was supposed to be “Easy Trivia”. I can’t wait for the hard questions!
The Captain held his Welcome Reception and the wine at the formal dinner was courtesy of him.
